Mountain Wedding Venues in the United States

Grand Teton National Park

Grand Teton is up there with my personal favorites in American national parks. It has many different areas where you can have your ceremony. The mountains are very pretty and make a good background for weddings or elopements.

Hurricane Ridge

Consider Hurricane Ridge at Olympic National Park in Washington State if you seek a lovely wedding venue. This location offers stunning views of the nearby mountains, and deer can often be seen roaming around.

Stanley

There are 63 residents in Stanley, an Idaho town. It’s easy to miss this town on a map, but it’s home to the Sawtooth Mountains, which have some of the most beautiful mountains I’ve ever seen. There are many hiking trails and places to stop for photos if you’re looking for an adventurous elopement in the mountains.

Mt. Shasta

Mt. Shasta is a really beautiful town in Northern California. This is a spot that is popular with locals. I’m from this area, and I think it’s one of the best places to have a wedding. Many great hikes nearby offer amazing views of Mt. Shasta, one of the largest mountains in California.

North Cascades National Park

The state of Washington is very stunning. One of the region’s major attractions is North Cascades National Park. This park is famed for its craggy mountains, glaciers, and crystal-clear lakes. This park is an excellent choice for a wedding ceremony held in the open air.

Denali National Park

Denali National Park and Preserve is a really big park. You can find anything there. If you and your partner enjoy camping, long-distance hiking, and wildlife, you might want to consider visiting this area.

Whitefish Mountain Resort

Whitefish Mountain Resort is a famous ski resort near Glacier National Park. If you love mountains, this is the perfect place to get married. You can exchange vows on the top of the mountain, overlooking the beautiful peaks of Glacier National Park. It’s quiet and perfect for your wedding day.

Yosemite National Park

Having a mountain wedding in Yosemite National Park, California’s most famous national park, is a wonderful experience. Yosemite has many peaks and valleys with views of iconic peaks like Half Dome and El Capitan. This venue is best in the fall when Yosemite gets millions of visitors yearly during its peak season.

Mount Rainier National Park

If you’re looking for a place like in the moody/Twilight movie, you should check out Mount Rainier. Mount Rainier is perfect for couples who want the mountains but with extra excitement and is filled with temperate rainforests, snow-covered mountains, subalpine meadows, and many lakes.

Sierra-at-Tahoe

Sierra-at-Tahoe is a famous ski resort in southern Lake Tahoe in California. This beautiful wedding venue has 360-degree views of Pyramid Peak, Mt. Ralston, and Desolation Wilderness, which is perfect for any mountain lover.

Great Smoky Mountains National Park

There is a gorgeous mountain range in Tennessee called the Great Smoky Mountains. The national park offers a wide variety of sites for a wedding ceremony. When the park’s millions of trees change color during the fall and create a sight straight out of a movie, this is the finest time to elope.

Della Terra Mountain Chateau

Della Terra Mountain Chateau is a wedding venue in Estes Park, Colorado. This location has both a great outdoor and indoor area. The surrounding trees and mountains are blanketed in white, powdery snow at this time of year, creating a winter wonderland.

320 Guest Ranch

Nearby Bozeman in Montana, 320 Guest Ranch is an ideal location for a mountain wedding reception. Mountain peaks and forests surround this beautiful venue. The indoor and outdoor spaces are charming and rustic.

The Little Nell

Popular wedding locations in Aspen, Colorado, include the Little Nell. You may get a great view of the Elk Mountain Range, nestled in the Rocky Mountains. This wedding venue can seat anywhere from 20 to 500 guests, which is ideal for large weddings and intimate ceremonies. If you choose The Little Nell as your wedding venue, you’ll enjoy an outstanding experience.

Maroon Bells

The Maroon Bells are two peaks in Colorado that people love to photograph. They’re beautiful and popular, so be prepared for many people. There are many hiking trails around the area, but be warned that it can get very crowded. You’ll have a better time in the mountains if you go at sunrise on weekdays when fewer people are there.

The Mountain Top Inn & Resort

The Mountain Top Inn & Resort is a wedding venue that offers lake and mountain views. It is located in Vermont, a great place to get married in the fall because of the beautiful scenery. On your wedding day, this location is far from the commotion of the big cities.

Catskill Mountains

There are many beautiful places to have a wedding in New York. Did you know there are amazing mountain venues only 3 hours away from the city? During the day, you can have your wedding outside with beautiful views of the mountains. Then, you can enjoy a romantic dinner in the city skyline at night.

Brundage Mountain Resort

McCall, Idaho, is home to the Brundage Mountain Resort, a ski resort. Although it’s not widely known, this venue should be! A ski lift is available to get you to the Salmon River Mountains and Payette Lakes for your wedding ceremony.

Iron Horse Unlimited

Another mountain wedding location in Northern California is Iron Horse Unlimited. This venue provides an amazing view of Mt. Shasta, so many people choose it for their weddings. It offers a quiet and simple atmosphere that will make your wedding perfect.

  1. Hood Ski Bowl

Mt. Hood Ski Bowl is about an hour and a half away from Portland. It offers stunning views of Mt. Hood, Oregon’s largest summit. Escape the city and enjoy the views, wildflowers, and forest nearby.

Blue Ridge Parkway

The Blue Ridge Parkway is a very popular place, especially for proposals. It goes from Virginia to North Carolina. People call it “America’s favorite drive.” The location is especially beautiful during sunrise or sunset. The fall season is also a great time to visit because the leaves change color.

Dunton Hot Springs

The San Juan Forest in Colorado’s San Juan County is a lovely setting for a wedding in a ghost town. It’s peaceful, and the scenery is stunning. It’s perfect for small weddings or elopements.

Wheeler Peak

Although many think New Mexico is a balanced state, it has some beautiful landscapes. One of these landscapes is Wheeler Peak, the highest peak in the state. Wheeler Peak is beautiful in all seasons, and if you want to reach the summit, you’ll have to hike around 4.5 – 5 miles. This would be perfect for couples looking for an adventure together.

Girdwood

Girdwood is a small Alaskan settlement. It is recognized for its towering peaks and glaciers. This is one of the top mountain wedding locations in the United States due to its natural beauty and seclusion. You will enjoy a small and lovely ceremony in any location in Girdwood, Alaska.

Malibu Rocky Oaks Estate

The Malibu Rocky Oaks Estate is a popular wedding venue in Malibu, California. This location is far from the cities and close to the wineries. Couples can enjoy a perfect view of the rolling hills, wineries, and beautiful state architecture while getting married here.
